22 December 2009 @ 02:41 am

On Saturday, there was this dinner for the debaters due to take place, as stated on Facebook. A coupla people RSVP-ed a yes, a load RSVP-ed a maybe and there were a few nos. Being the one that keeps track of people's birthdays and events, i notified Maurice and we were all set for a night of revelling, with the seniors and juniors alike. Well of course,  prior to which, i was in the library studying my stats. Such a studyholic i am. I can never let loose if i'm bugged by my conscience for not studying.

So in the evening, we over to where the dinner was supposed to be held, only to find ONE PERSON (Box) we knew there?! And he wasn't sure who was coming either. What happened to all those who RSVP-ed?! Feeling fleeced, we made a few phone calls to find out who was coming and decided that since our numbers were negligible, we'll make do with dinner and a movie- the standard outing 'procedure'.

This dude then came to us asking if we were from the debating club and Maurice went all @_@ "I HAVE NO CLUE WHO THEY ARE" LOL. Box and I sorta ran away while Maurice, with a polite apology, told them that we've got other plans and off we went! We were joined by Maryann, Beanie, Paki and Joscelyn thereafter and among the girls mayhem and gossip aplenty ensued (what's new, really lol).  I suggested us taking some PuriKuras, soooooo..............

Purikuras under the cut )

It has been 9 months since i last took any purikuras! The prices of purikuras have increased, but really, i do not see any changes in the quality of the pics nor in the variety in the decorations and backgrounds . What can i say? I suppose they're banking on their scarcity power. Since purikuras are somewhat a social activity for females, they're pretty indispensible and i surmise that the PuriKura market aint as saturated as that of the K-pop market, thereby ensuring that their demand is kept high. In such a scenario, they have a greater power to manipulate prices, ie jacking it up. ECONOMICS FTW!!!!!!!!!

Suffice to say, there was a cacophony of discordant high pitched squeals peppered with some amounts of hysteria in and outta the machine, be it going crazy over the poses or not having enough time to decorate the pics. Maryann left and then we headed to the cinema to check out the prices but ended up heading to the arcade instead because

1) Some of us were penniless and could not afford the high price of the movie tix
2) Avatar was showing really late
3) Other than Avatar, there wasn't really anything we wanted to watch
4) The girls were in the mood to play
5) I was the owner of the card that'll allow us to play at the arcade 8D

I swear in that one night at the arcade, the amount i spent was equivalent to the amount i would accumulate after TEN arace trips in 2008 (where i visited the arcade once weekly for my fix of para para paradise). Not that that is any cause for any complaints whatsoever. Everyone had a go at most of the stuff, worked out and upped our endorphine levels weeeeee~

Then, Beanie hadta go so the rest of us decided on pool. Our search for the place resulted in a failure because the location occupied by a restaurant, which we couldnt go in even if we wanted to because it was closed. Having no more options left for entertainment, heading home was the best option, given how late it already was.

And home we went, and that pretty much sums up what took place on the evening of 19 December 2009 : D
